It’s a place where every visit feels like coming home to great food, great drinks, and great company.
It is a tradition go here after picking up family members from the airport. Great food- something for everyone. Drinks are great, friendly staff. Sometimes very busy. Nice outdoor table for a big group.
What a fun spot! I’ve been driving by for years and finally decided to stop in with a friend. We loved it! I had the Taco Combo Plate with Carne Asada and Beef. I got both of them with a corn tortilla which was great. Both tacos were big too! Very filling meal. My friend got the half order of nachos. We thought he ordered a full when it first came out because it was so big! Know that the half order of nachos is probably enough for one person. The atmosphere is great as well. We love local spots like this and wish we had stopped in sooner. Overall, hard to go wrong here it seems. We will be back!
Fast service, friendly staff. Portions huge. But the taste, Amazing!!! Everything was wonderful.
We came for a second visit. It has vintage look, like in the 1980s. Margaritas were outstanding. The guac, fish tacos and burritos were excellent. Portion is big too. It is not a fancy looking place but this is now our goto Mexican restaurant!
This place still has it, hasn't changed much since my family used to go here on the regular back in the 1980s. The food is consistent and the staff is amazingly attentive and friendly. There's so much history on these walls, definitely worth taking a peek around and see some of the amazing legacy and famous patrons that have visited. I'm a big fan of the patio seating, there's always a good crowd. A couple of old fuddy duds, old friends hanging out, or families having a relaxing meal together, no matter where you sit, you will have a memorable time.
Really good Mexican food, and definitely on my lists of favorites in the Phoenix area. I prefer this style over TexMex hands down. I went there twice on my recent visit to Scottsdale and will be back next time i'm in town for sure. Both meals were perfectly prepared and the right amount of spicy. The chips and salsa were equally great. My only issue on both visits was that service was rather slow. It was hard to get the attention of anyone to get refills of chips/salsa or tea. Other than that, no complaints at all. I think when the weather is warmer it would great to hang on their patio and have margaritas as well.
